Yoga: My journey

My name is Heidi and I have been doing yoga for a very long time.  It is a journey and for everyone, the journey is different. I found that in yoga, this is the one place I can breathe and be me. In every day life, you may take on a persona of the person people want you to be. You may be the super girl at work that can do no wrong and is super organize but inside you are mess. You can't let anyone see that part of you. You feel like you can't let anyone down so you take on everything with this strength.  All you are missing is a cape and your golden lasso. But when do you get to be you?

In my journey,  I have found out who I am and who I want to be. I have found that I won't let people tell me who I will be.  Everyone has an opinion and they are entitled to it but I won't let their opinion change me.

Yoga, you are connecting your mind, body and spirit. One of the three may overpower the other two. You have to learn to balance them out. Calming the mind as you balance out body and spirit is something that takes time and patience. Many people don't have either. If you try everyday, you will get there. It isn't a race, it is a marathon that never ends. In yoga, you measure in millimeter instead of miles. Your journey is never-ending.
